Liz + Christian Engagement Session

My good friend Liz is getting married this December.

From what I’ve heard about how it went down- it all started with Christian sliding in her DMs. They had hung around each other a bit and had mutual friends, but were both interested in more.

Their wedding is going to have a Christmas theme, which is perfect for December. Unfortunately for us, it’s March and there’s not much snow to work with for photos. Liz was thankfully able to find a park near her with a lot of pine trees to get the right vibe.

Of course we had to get some shots of that gorgeous ring, too. I experimented with my macro lens a bit for those real up close shots.

With a little editing magic in post, I was able to do my best to photoshop some lights and wreaths into some of the photos. Shooting with a lower aperture and coloring some bokeh circles seemed to do the trick. I spent a little extra time with these as I really wanted these photos to fit Liz’s vision. Liz was also able to bring a cute mistletoe prop, which really added to some of the photos.

I don’t have a lot of experience shooting couples, but it’s an area of photography I’m very passionate about. Thankfully for us the lighting was on our side and these two went along with all my posing ideas. I think their love really shines through these photos- Congrats to Liz and Christian!
