Cece’s End of Life Pet Portraits

I recently registered myself as a photographer for the Tilly Project, which is a site that connects photographers with clients who are wanting photos with their senior pets before they pass. I received my first real inquiry from Beka, who shared that her cat, Cece, was recently diagnosed with type 5 lymphoma. We arranged to meet at Beka’s place due to Cece being an indoor cat, and upon arriving I found out she also had 3 other cats. All but one came out to say hello, and I had to snap some extra shots of these friendly guys. ↓↓↓↓

Beka also shared with me that she took in two of her cats, including Cece, after their owner passed. Beka was told Cece was around 10 years old, which she now knows wasn’t true. Despite her age this senior kitty was on a mission to move around today, and Beka was able to help me place her right for some photos.

Cece is partially def and has a bad eye, so while catching her attention wasn’t the easiest thing, I love the results we got. I definitely overshot this session, but I wanted to make sure Beka had some photos she really loved of Cece to remember her by. She is such a sweet cat and it’s clear she’ll be missed.
