Jenny + Taran’s Proposal & Engagement

Recently I received an Instagram DM, inquiring about my availability to photograph a proposal. I hadn’t done this before- but I love photographing other’s love. Taran wanted to find a beautiful spot to propose to his girlfriend of 7 years. They are new to the area, so after throwing around some location ideas he decided on Holcomb gardens. The plan for the day of was that my second shooter, Bryce, and I would be pretending to photograph each other near the couple. Taran would hand me his phone to ask us (“strangers”) to take some photos of them, and I would offer up using my camera since I had it on hand. When the time came, my hands were shaking but Taran pulled it off. His now fiancé, Jenny, actually said yes before he’d even pulled the ring out!

As I was taking photos of the happy couple, the wheels started to turn in Jenny’s head and she asked Taran if he hired us for this. It was so satisfying to know that she didn’t realize and he was able to surprise her!

After sharing in the excitement, we were also able to get this gorgeous couple some extra photos for their save the date and engagement announcement. These two were so easy to photograph, and I’m glad we were able to get them some photos of this special moment.
